TAOBOY · QuanBuFang Name Study
The QuanBuFang Five Principles read a Chinese name through five dimensions - sound, memorability, recognizability, meaning and Five-Element fit - drawing on character facts, the meaning of the whole name, its phonetics and the situations the name is actually used in.
We do not compress a name into a single total, and we do not treat the traditional Five Grids as the only answer.
Chinese names only. Reports are provided in Chinese.

QuanBuFang Five Principles
A name can sound good and still be hard to remember. Its characters can carry fine meanings and still be misread. Its Five-Element properties can be perfectly clear and yet remain unrated, because no favourable and unfavourable elements have been adopted for this person. The QuanBuFang Five Principles publish no overall score; each dimension keeps the meaning it actually has.
How natural the full name is in tone, rhythm, liaison and spoken use.
Whether name length, character frequency and memory cues help someone recall it later.
How easily the written forms are recognised, and whether misreading or Traditional-Simplified conversion causes trouble.
Not only per-character definitions, but whether surname and given name together form a natural, coherent reading.
How the QuanBuFang element of each character relates to the favourable and unfavourable elements explicitly adopted for this reading.
Ease of writing is a supporting indicator. It helps explain the everyday burden of writing a name, and it does not replace the five main principles.
From characters to the whole name
The free analysis lists the pinyin, Zhuyin, naming strokes, element and basic meaning of every character in the name.
The AI Detailed Name Report then puts surname and given name back together, and reads the meaning, sound, imagery, gendered feel, homophone notes and real-world usage of the complete name.
What people actually hear, remember and use is never a set of separate characters - it is one whole name.

Method and boundaries
The five dimensions answer different questions, and no single average is allowed to hide the differences between them.
A surname carries family identity first. Only when the complete name genuinely forms a natural meaning is it read as a whole-name phrase.
The report names both strengths and things to watch, and offers practical guidance for living with the name. A weak dimension is not a reason to push anyone to change their name.
The Five Grids and Three Talents remain in the report appendix as traditional reference, and are never presented as a certain prediction of life outcomes.
Three levels of analysis
The three levels answer three different depths of question. Start free to learn each character, then go deeper only if you want to - there is no need to jump straight to the last one.

A name is an identity, and also a symbol that is heard, written and used over and over in ordinary life.
The report is not there to make anyone anxious about a single score. It is there to show the strengths of a name, the things worth watching, and how to live with it in practice.
A name takes part in the first impression others form of you, but it cannot stand in for a person's ability, choices or real life.
Research and method brand
TAOBOY - also known as Taoboy - is the product and service brand. QuanBuFang is the metaphysics research and method brand within TAOBOY, and the analysis behind TAOBOY Chinese Name Study is the QuanBuFang Five Principles.
The QuanBuFang Five Principles build on character etymology, radicals and a human-reviewed element classification for each character, and from there examine a name's sound, memorability, recognizability, meaning and relationship to the chart's favourable and unfavourable elements.
Human-reviewed character-element classification remains the final authority. The remaining dimensions are computed from versioned rules, and those rules stay open to further revision.
FAQ
Because sound, memorability, recognizability, meaning and Five-Element fit are five different questions. Averaging them into one number looks simple, but it hides the information that is actually useful.
No. The free edition analyses only the name itself - its basic character facts and its traditional structure.
Not necessarily. Linking a chart or adopting favourable and unfavourable elements adds the related detail. Where no elements have been adopted, Five-Element fit is honestly shown as not evaluated.
The detailed report needs the name, gender and a complete set of Four Pillars before it can discuss how a name fits the person who carries it. Birthplace, luck pillars, luck-cycle start time and adopted elements are used when they exist, and never invented when they do not.
No. A score on one dimension only helps explain a specific characteristic of the name. Every report also offers practical guidance, and none of it is written to create anxiety about renaming.
The pronunciation, written form, meaning, Traditional-Simplified relationship and element judgement of a Chinese name all rest on the Chinese character system. This version supports Chinese names only, and the report is provided in Chinese.
A Simplified Chinese interface produces a Simplified Chinese report. The Traditional Chinese and English interfaces both produce a Traditional Chinese report.
